Applications for the CREAMARE project Open Call for Cultural Institutions are now open and will close on 15th April 2023.
To improve communication and raise people’s awareness of several social issues that cause damage to the oceans and their inhabitants, CREAMARE will involve Institutions/Organizations to co-produce a Serious Game focused on the ocean’s health and underwater protection for future generations.
The game will allow the player to solve enigmas and challenges on this topic while visiting highly realistic 3D digital models of eight underwater cultural sites. Six of the sites will be selected through the open call.
Four to six Cultural Institutions or Organizations (e.g.: Museums, Universities, Public bodies, Research Centers, NGOs, etc.) involved in the research, conservation, protection, and/or dissemination of the Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) linked to the Mediterranean cultures will be chosen to join CREAMARE partners to support this project.
Selected candidates will be able to promote their UCH site by including the digital model of one of their relevant historical or naturalistic sites in CREMARE’s game.
They will also have the opportunity to benefit from training in digital technologies, such as computer graphics or photogrammetry, and ocean conservation and sustainable activities.
More details will be shared with the selected candidates at the end of the process evaluation when a cooperation agreement will be subscribed.
