CREAMARE: The Game presented at the National Hungarian Museum, Budapest

On wednesday, May 13th, the partners of CREAMARE Project presented CREAMARE: The Game at the National Hungarian Museum Library, in Budapest.
The event marked an important occasion to highlight the impact of digital innovation in supporting environmental education, addressing today’s ecological challenges.
During the meeting, Marco Cozza, CTO of 3D Research, shared the key purposes of the project, highlighting once again its commitment to the protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage and the ocean’s well-being.
Moreover, he presented the structure of the serious game, which offers an immersive experience into the depths of the ocean and combines adventure and education about today’s ecological threats, such as oil pollution from shipwrecks, illegal fishing and unsustainable shipping practices.
Daniel Poulet, project manager at Pro Progressione, showcased the amazing locations featured in the game, each with historical and cultural relevance and meticulously reconstructed through 3D photogrammetry.
The sites were proposed by cultural organizations-institutions and represent a broad spectrum of geographical locations, historical periods and maritime narratives, bringing ancient history back to life.
In CREAMARE: The Game players can explore 9 underwater archeological sites from the Mediterranean Sea, in an evocative setting made of ancient ruins, shipwrecks and submerged treasures.
In addition, after the presentation of the project, participants had the opportunity to try out the computer-developed test version of the game.
